Governance

Bedgebury Foundation is governed through the charitable scheme lodged with the Charity Commission and the Memorandum and Articles of Association lodged with Companies House.

Bedgebury Foundation(Charity Number 306306) has a single corporate trustee Bedgebury Foundation Charitable Company Limited (Charity Number 1089801 and Company Number 04259130); this charity has a Board of Trustees.

The activities of the charity are managed by the Board of Trustees and two sub-committees, the Grant Award Team (GAT) and the Strategic Investment Team (SIT). GAT conducts a thorough evaluation of shortlisted applications, scores and comments on them and meets prior to the Board of Trustees meeting to develop proposals for grants awards. SIT members develop the Strategic Investment Policy, meet at least once a year with investment managers, monitor performance of investment managers and increasingly consider other opportunities for income.

Our investment managers are Brewin Dolphin.

Our Accountants are Wilson Partners.
